Community Recognition & Support

 

Nagano Ryu Heihou Ryushin Dojo and Ryushin Koryu Arts LLC are honored to be recognized for continued service, mentorship, cultural preservation, and youth development within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community.

What began as a small dojo rooted in the preservation of classical Japanese martial traditions has grown into a community-centered organization dedicated to leadership, discipline, accountability, and mentorship for youth and families across North Carolina.

​

Through veteran-led instruction and heritage-based teaching, our dojo strives to provide more than physical training. Students are taught the importance of respect, perseverance, civic responsibility, emotional discipline, and personal growth. Many of the young people who enter our doors come seeking structure, guidance, confidence, and purpose. Our mission is to ensure they leave with stronger character, greater self-belief, and a deeper understanding of community and responsibility.

These recognitions reflect not only the work of the dojo, but also the commitment of our students, families, supporters, and community partners who continue to believe in the positive impact of disciplined mentorship and cultural education.

Our programs and annual events, including Tai Kai and Daikomyosai, are designed to strengthen community ties while preserving traditional martial arts heritage through education, leadership development, and service.
